Default 150 ATV not starting

afternoon folks. the atv is turning over. replaced fuel filter, battery, and cleaned air filter. The only thing i notice from there is the green light on the dash (that should be on when in neutral) is NOT coming on. i have tried to follow the wire from the light but seem to get lost from there. Any ideas would be very helpfull.

Have you checked for spark and compression?

Some bikes give an extra strong spark in neutral to make starting easier, a bit like the old bias resistor system on car coils of the 1970s and 80s. This is worked from the neutral light circuit. However, if you are getting a decent spark anyway, I would be cleaning the carb out. Remove float bowl, remove jets and blow them and the holes they came from out with compressed air. If that doesn't work, check compression as djshad1469 suggested. Under 90psi and bikes get hard to start.
