I Need help identifying my new atv so that I can order parts for it.
OK so I got a quad today for my son. He’s coming over tomorrow and I wanna surprise him with it. I’m gonna let him have a fun two days with it and then whenever he goes back to his moms, I’m gonna get down and dirty and fix everything that needs fixed.
once once I get the help, I need to be able to identify the ATV. Everything else should pretty much fall into place.
The exhaust muffler was cut off for some reason, so I’m gonna have to get a new one. That’s top on the list of priorities.
New tires, new plastic, front bumper, and a few other small things
I know the parts for these bikes are all pretty much the same and interchangeable between the Chinese brands for the most part, but does anybody know if these ATVs happen to be clones of other ATVs?That seems like it would be the best case scenario. not sure what the performance racing parts world is like with Chinese bikes. But I plan on letting my son do some racing. And if I can get parts off of Yamaha and put them on my Chinese bike, that would be amazing. That means I have that many more resources to find parts.
anyway, I know that’s a lot. Thank you for taking time to read it. Please get a hold of me with any information you think might help me.
Could be any of half a dozen makes. Looks to have double wishbone front suspension which narrows things a bit, but lots of Chinese makes use that Honda clone engine, disc rear brakes etc, There may be a makers, and/or VIN plate, usually between the top wishbones on the frame, this could identify it. Kazuma dealers seem to be able to supply plastics for their machines but few other makers bother, and generic plastics may or may not fit. There are tuning parts available for those engines.
I've had several frames like that and most of the ones I could identify were either Coolster or TaoTao. The plastics are available on eBay and Amazon and they're not cheap. After buying the plastics, foot rests, tires, exhaust etc you'll probably be in over $400. You may want to consider buying a more complete one.
