Chinese 125cc I got it from a buddy and it sat outside forever, so I redid the whole thing new motor and all the wiring cdi rectifier coil. It was pretty much plug them in pretty simple right? Well it never charged the battery but the headlights work when it’s running and you can hook a battery charger too it and charge the battery up a bit and it’ll start right up? Please help

"the headlights work when it’s running"
Not sure what you mean by this. Do they work when it isn't running? If they don't, then they are AC lamps fed directly from the alternator, which must be OK for them to work. So if it isn't also charging the battery, your new wiring is not connected to the regulator/battery properly.Check that you haven't just got a dud battery, which looses charge over a couple of days. Check if the voltage at the battery rises when the bike is running and that it suddenly drops when you switch the engine off. If it does, your bike is charging. Check, with everything switched off, that there is no, or tiny amps between the earth lead and the earth post on battery (after disconnecting the two) to ensure there isn't a "drain" in the circuit. Usual culprit is the regulator, so check that, if there is a drain.
