Default 2006 Baja WD 250U Stuck in reverse

Got this used Atv in garage. I’m new to atvs, but a snowmobile pro. Lol.

First, is Baja a China Atv?

This is issues. No spark. Removed Stator. Wire going to coil broken. So hopefully it will solve with new in order.

Neutral light is constantly on. The foot gear lever is bottom neutral and 5 up. Manual says first gear to switch the reverse/forward lever.

The lever is stuck in forward, but the wheels will only spin in reverse. I can manually switch to neutral so wheels spin both ways. Forward/reverse lever won’t budge. When I click up to change gears, I can get into first, and sometimes it will click to 5th, sometimes only 1 click up.

I’ve taken off Stator but how to remove that cover which is attached to the reverse switch? Can’t get to the 4 bolts to remove drive shaft. Any ideas on all this?

You usually take the whole swinging arm assembly away from the bike. I doubt if it is that ring of bolts stopping you getting the reverse box off, and those symptoms seem more like a selector problem than the box itself anyway. Baja is a US importer. They imported two different models badged Wilderness Trail 250U , one from Loncin, one from Jianshe, I think both are Chinese makers.
