Coolster 125 heat issue?
#1
Hey guys I have a Coolster 125 it’s always been a pain to get started and keep running but once I get it warmed up it runs fine. Assuming that’s just how these are.
I can deal with the cold start issues but after a few months of owning it it’s developed a new issue where after it’s been drove for about 20-30 minutes it gets to where it won’t move. I can put it in neutral and try to roll it and the back wheels stay locked up and I can’t roll it in either direction.
once it cools down all is well and it drives fine again.

You can tell if the chain tension goes from top to bottom run, when you try to move forwards and backwards, whether it is the axle or gearbox that is locking. If it is the rear axle, it is going to be either the brake or the bearings, so remove and check brake, if you can, while the fault is on. Brake would also be very hot, though it will get quite warm anyway, if you have used it much during your run. If brake is OK, check bearings, again a faulty one will be hot and there may be some play in it.
