Default 3 phase stator to 1 phase rectifier?

Got a chinese quad without wiring, redoing from scratch.

Everything is running smooth, now trying to setup battery charging.

The issue is that its a 3phase stator aka 3 white wires go out of it designated for rectifier.
I only have 1 phase rectifier lying around that has 2 ac input wires.

Would there be any issues connecting only 2/3 white wires to it and leaving one dangling?
Or is it safe to splice 2/3 white wires together?
Or none of that will work and you 100% need a 3phase rectifier?

Trying to figure out what’s the difference between 1 and 3 phase rectifiers and what the wires do, but struggling to find any information so i was wondering if anyone has done any experimentation.

Single phase rectifiers are quite rare, ones with two wires in and two out are common. The reason a three phase rectifier may have two input wires is that the third phase is often earthed on small Chinese bikes. Unless you know which type the rectifier is, forget it and buy a three wires in, two out rectifier. You will burn the stator out if you get it wrong.

To my knowledge you cannot run a three phase motor on single phase. You have to use a rotary phase converter or VFD to create the third phase the motor requires.
