Eton sierra dxl90

Does anyone have a picture of the wire harness where the ignition is plugged into the harness? I need to see what color wires go where on the female connector on the harness side

If you are fitting a different ignition switch to the original, it won't work. ETons used earth to run CDIs, almost all other makers use earth to kill CDIs, so Etons need a different ignition switch to everything else. Alpha Sports sell manuals for most ETons, which should include wiring diagrams. If you still want to know the colours, check at the fuse for the colour of pos power wire, an earth for colour of the earth wire, that leaves the kill wire which goes to CDI and the positive to all circuits needing one, starter and light switches and possibly CDI too, so don't jump to conclusions.

Ya i tried an aftermarket ignition and it melted the wires. Previous owner rigged a kill switch and that's how it was turned off. I disconnected all that because I wanted to get everything back to stock. Now I don't remember how he had it wired. Ill check for the manual on that website. Thanks..

Right, follow the instructions in my first post, wires at the ignition switch terminal are almost certain to be the same colour as they are where they started, main fuse wire is pos feed wire colour, an earth is the colour of other earths. Kill wire comes from CDI and pos from ignition switch will go to light switch. DC CDIs will be different as they don't need a kill wire, but check the above and see if it makes sense.

I was able to get the aftermarket handlebar switched wired up to work and I also got the ignition switch working 50% lol. It will not start with the key off but it doesn't kill the motor when I turn the keys off while running. I'm fine with that, the kill switch on handlebar works, i just had to swap some wires around in the plug.
Still some work to do though, she's smoking like my grandma at the bingo hall 😄. I rode it up and down the street wide open a dozen times hoping it was just old oil in the pipe (spitting some oil/carbon out the exhaust as well). I'll get into that tomorrow, hopefully. These are fast machines for a 90. I'm 200lbs and it rips with me on it

As I wrote in the first post you will have fitted an earth to kill ignition switch to an earth to run CDI. Is it the Minarelli two stroke engine? They are quite quick, like Suzuki LT80s. Oil injection is controlled by a split throttle cable. Anyway, too much oil is better than not enough.

Why not? There should be an oil tank and it apparently holds 1 litre. The "transmission" probably refers to a reduction box attached to the driven pulley in the belt box, may not have a filler, but you need to know how much to put in if you have drained it for repairs, though odd Minarelli engined bikes have a forward/reverse gearbox on the back axle, so could be that.
