125cc can't get fire no matter what
#1
Hey everyone any help would be much appreciated this customer is been waiting a long time. Ok, so:
Jiangsu tk125cc ATV (sport body)
Problem: no fire
What I have tried:
New stator (6pole)
New plug
New ignition coil
New CDI (the narrow ac CDI not the wide DC CDI)
New battery
Isolated the ignition circuit
Checked all connections
decreased gap in the trigger coil/rotor clearance
Tried 2 more new cdis
Checked fuse
Checked the key
Checked the woodruff key
Made sure the flywheel is actually spinning
Unhooked bk/w wire from CDI
Shorted bk/w wire from CDI to ground
Cussed
Prayed
Sacrificed goat
Typed this forum
The only wires that are currently being used now are:
Bk/y CDI -bk/y ign coil
G CDI - ground
Bk/r cdi- bk/r stator
Bu/w trigger- bu/w CDI
Bk/w cdi- open
G ign coil - ground
W stator- w rectifier
Y stator- y rectifier
G rectifier - ground
Red rectifier- battery +
Ground - battery -
Battery+ - solenoid
Starter wire - solenoid

Sequence for spark testing. Fit a new plug, if that doesn't work, go through the help diagnose stator sticky tests at the top of the Chinese engines section here. That tells you what is wrong, if everything on wiring to CDI tests as OK but you still don't get a spark change CDI. The tests for the ignition coil are tricky to be sure about so, if you think there is power going to the coil when engine is spun, but no spark, change coil. these days I tend to rely more on voltage outputs from stator coils than their ohm readings, 0.4v AC for trigger coil and over 7v AC for power coil (red/black) seem to be about the minimum for a spark to occur.
