LT250R Please Help!!!
#1
My lt250r doesnt have spark it isnt the stator or the ignition coil i have power coming out of the stator going into the cd but no power comming out of the cdi to the ignition coild. The blue, blackandred, blackandyellow, blackandwhite are all the wires connecting the cdi and the stator and the black wire comming out of the CDI is the return power wire to the igniton coil to give it spark that wire has no returning power. Any suggestions... CDI DEF BAD OR WHAT we are turning the switch on and kicking it over to get power!!

theres no way to test a cdi. it either works or it doesn't. might be your coil. check the plug cap. and make sure all of your connectons are clean. its rare that a cdi will fail, most always its something else thats wrong.

Of course you can check your cdi all the wires that run from the stator or magneto to the cdi are all receiving power bu the black is the returning power which goes to the igniton coil! What you do is get a DVM and test the voltage when the swtich is on and is kicking over! I Get plenty voltage to it none coming out going to the ignition coil to make it fire!

Have you ever thought that if you grounded the kill wire that you would still have power everywhere but to the coil? Sorry, but your trying to diagnose wrong. You need a service manual to check things correctly.
