Gy6 cvt transmission struggles to go in gear
#1
When i shift into forward or reverse it will just act as if its still in neutral... rolling it forward helped it go into gear same with reverse.
Sometimes it will go into gear but then after a couple of feet it will slip out till I roll forward a bit.

Update: i lifted the back tires off the ground and gave it some throttle while it was in forward gear and it actually went into forward gear, i tried to do it again on an incline and it didnt work, lifted tires up on level ground then gave some throttle and it went into forward gear again
I also noticed that the tires don't spin when I have the back tires lifted off the ground in gear.

In your other post you mention it jumping out of gear, which indicates either the linkage from gear lever to the one on the box, not adjusted, or an internal gearbox fault. However, the most common fault with a belt drive bike refusing to move when put in gear and revved up, is the belt broken.

I took off the gear mechanism and tried to shift it by hand it was the same looked at the clutch and it was ok. i guess something stuck in gearbox because the gear shifter moves freely but atv is now stuck in reverse.

GY6 was only popular for a short time on ATVs. Small stuff tended to use the two stroke Minarelli engine, and bigger used Honda clones. Then it changed to nearly all Chinese bikes using Honda clones, mostly the Honda Cub clone up to 150cc, which had been the usual size of a GY6. Much more common on scooters, there are few GY6s built with reverse gearboxes.
