Hey guys, for those of you who don't have a ride for the meeting on the 28th I have a 220 Bayou that I'll let someone ride for the day. I have it forsale so as long as it hasn't sold yet I'll let whoever ride it if anyone is interested.

Just trying to do my good deed for the day.

The only thing I hate about riding alone is getting stuck with nobody to help ... I got stuck in a huge mud hole, the water came a little past my knees. my front wheels got caught on a bank and my rear wheels kept spinning It took me 30 minutes to get the quad out of the mud But the rest of the day was pretty good

Bob,
I met a couple guys and told them about the club. They said they would try to be there on the 28th. So that could be 2 more members.

Well, I'll see you guys on the 28th.

Hey Phil,
I'll take you up on the offer to use the 220.
I was just planning on coming down for the meeting, but if you're offering the use of your quad for the day, I'll get there earlier and get dirty with you guys.

The extra quad was a nice thing to offer.... Has anyone else got an extra one? We need one more for one of our friends that is coming with us fromTexas... Let us know, or if there is a place to rent one. She would like a nice automatic. She is even less expierienced than Ginny and I.
Are any of you guys coming down early to ride? We will either come in Friday night or leave EARLY Saturday morning and be there about 10AM. Where are some places to stay? ( like a Hampton Inn, or LaQuinta. Nothing fancy, but not camping out either.)
Let us know.
This will be fun.
James, on a side note, BRING YOUR CALCULATOR!

Hey Gordon,
If it's OK with Phil, I'm willing to share my borrowed quad (assuming Phil will let me use it) with your friend. We can take turns riding. I don't mind sharing someone elses stuff hehe - just razzin' ya Phil

Bring my calculator???
Absolute great idea, Gordon. It'll help me determine "exactly" how long it will take you to BBQ me a burger

Actually, what Gordon is referring to is the fact that I'm doing an "unscientific" Economic Impact Study (as most of you may already know). It would help tremendously if you guys would be willing to keep track of exactly how much you spend on this trip/meeting and email me the results after you get home and tally it all up. And, it would be GREAT if you could itemize it instead of giving me one total amount.

I'll post my Economic Impact questions below to help you out. Here they are:

Economic Impact
a) In the vehicle you drove/rode in on your last visit to an ORV park that charged for riding, how many people rode with you?
b) How much did it cost for each individual to ride the ORV park?
c) Were there any camping/lodging costs involved? If so, how much for each night?
d) How many nights did you stay?
e) How much did you spend on fuel?
f) How much did you spend at restaurants?
g) How much did you spend on food/snacks at local grocery stores/quick stops?
h) Did you or anyone with you spend any time in town shopping for items not associated with ORVing?
i) Did you participate in any other events like boating, fishing, swimming, horseback riding or other event while on your last ORV outing? If so, please list them and the costs associated with them.
j) Please list any other costs you incurred while on your last outing to an ORV outing that charged for riding.

General Information
1) Please list the estimated ages of all those who went with you on your last ORV outing to a trail system that charged for riding.
2) How many male? How many female?
3) What did you like most about your trip?
4) What did you dislike most about your trip?
5) How many miles did you travel to get to the ORV Park?
6) How many days did you stay?
7) How many ORVs did you or your group take?
8) How many trips like you have described do you take per year?
9) How did you learn about the ORV Park you visited – flyer, word of mouth, brochure, magazine, signage, newspaper ad, radio, TV, other (please specify)
10) What is your annual household income? Under $10,000 $10,000-$20,000 $20,000-$30,000 $30,000-$40,000 $40,000-$50,000 Over $50,000 Do not give actual incomes please.

I appreciate you guys helping me with this very vital study. Please copy and paste this Study into an MSWord document and type your answers at the end of each question. It would be helpful if you would post your answers in BOLD type to help identify your answers at a quick glance. Then, email the whole MSWord document to harmony@okplus.com as an attachment.

Or,

You could simply copy and paste this Study into an email, post your answers after each question (preferrably in BOLD type) and email it to me directly.

Either way will be fine.

Please remember that absolutely NO personal info will be given out to anyone.

I appreciate your help,
James

I want to urge all the new Seminole members to talk to your fellow ATVers and tell them about your positive experience with the Central Oklahoma ATV Club. My hope is that you can motivate them into attending the meeting/ride on the 28th in Purcell. The more local people we can get involved on this issue, the better chances we will have at getting approval for the new trail system at Sportsman Lake. Even if they don't want to join the club, I'm sure they would enjoy a new place to ride and meeting these fine guys who are supporting our effort.

Course, once they meet the guys from the CoacATVclub, I'm sure they'll want to join.

Anyway, since Seminole is the newest addition to this club, let's do our best to make a big show of support for the guys who are supporting us!!

James, or Bob
I forgot about asking someone to bring a camera. I will bring mine, but it is not that great for "action" shots. I would like a picture of all the members and quads lined up side by side.

One more thing James....
Bring your wife. You and her can ride our Honda and Bombardier. This might be a good chance to compare several machines and see which one you like the best.

Phil,
The river was starting to get low. I could almost cross in a few areas. If it doesn't rain much more, we should be able to cross just about anywhere we want.
