These are the times that try men's souls.........
Well I just got the bad news regarding my future schedule at work. Looks like another 3-4 months of working with days off that occur during the week, thus making me report to the wonderful world of work on weekends. I don't know when I will get to ride with you guys as part of large group again.

Attn: I am planning another ride at prague lake for the first saturday in sept. I allready have a couple from work that are intrested and the tenative time is 10:00 am to meet in the parking lot. It would be great to make this a COATVC event and maybe do a cookout or something like that. Let me know what you all think and spread the word.

Maybe, maybe not.... For the past two weekends James and I have rode from Rivermist to Asher and back. I thought for sure we would be drowned out last weekend but the water had moved downstream rather quickly and left us a great time riding. James has found a web site that gives water levels a varrious points along major rivers.
On a side note: You can ride your ATV into Asher on the right of way but you must walk it across the highway ($200 ticket if you don't).

Dave's right. Even after all the rain we've got lately the river is still down pretty low. I've been keeping track of the water levels each week on the site Dave mentioned (which Brent posted on this forum awhile back) and I've found that the water level at Rivermist is VERY rideable if the Gage Height is under 4.50 ft. Right now the website is listing the Gage Height at Rivermist to be 3.59 ft.
The website can be found at
http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ok/nwis/rt
I believe Brent also stated that optimal riding at Purcell is when the Gage Height is below 8 ft (Is that right Brent?).
I just checked the channel 5 seven day forecast. The only rain in the near future is a 30% chance on Saturday (figures ), but I'll be riding whether it rains or not.
