Default Sorry to have to rant about your sport!

I am not atv'er and up to last week I was indifferent. After haveing a large trailer and tow vehicle parked in front of my house for the past week and the owner refusing to move it to his side of the street negativity towards your sport has sunk in. As in most cities, Glendale, Arizona allows parking however not for trailers. The three car garage is used to store his bikes and most of the time he doesn't even use his 3 car driveway and has his RV parked in his yard (these are $300k homes). Before I call the police I hope to resolve this matter using neighbor mediation through the city. He refused and called City code on my legitimate home business. The code officer was pissed, not at my desktop publishing business but the trailer and told him to move it. Which was done for one day and now has returned. I own and race 3 boat so I share the excitement however, all are parked out of site or off site.

Please be good to your neighbor. I have taken a petition around the block with 100% approval and many wanting him to park all his vehicles of the roadway at night. Many are very angry as I am. My next step is to involve the police knowing what mess that will cause but the guy won't even sit down and talk.

Any suggestions? Would I have an ear at any of the local ATV clubs in the Phoenix Area to layout a better understanding of this problem? I even have to put my trash cans in my drive.

Sorry for the rant I know this is the exception.

About as much of an ear as you would have at a local raceboat club.

It isn't your neighbors hobby that is the problem.,,,,,its your neighbor!!!

Very touchy subject!! Bing is right, it ain't the sport it's the neighbor. I like to use the oops approach myself. Oops, did my sprinklers spray your truck all week? Oops, did somebody's kids hit your truck with their football 100 times? Oops, did somebody's dog sheat on the hood and windows of your truck? With this approach you had better be able to kick his a$$ in case he doesn't get the hint and wants to retaliate. Or you could always just call the police, who cares what kind of mess it causes. Your neighbor is an A$$!!!

Maybe I should of started out and introducd myself . . . Hi my name is Eric and I and a recovering A$$ H0L$. Hey there is a part in all of us that hates to be told what to do. But even my beer sloshed brain gets over it in a day or two. Pitching horse shoes next to that nice shiny trailer or a weekend lawn dart fest to celebrate MLK day might be in order. Opps . . . opps dang good thing that trailer was there to stop the hoseshoe from rolling into the street. Na, way to old to do things like that.

Bing your right about the neighbor problem more than a hobby. We have a boater that has no qualms about pi$$ing off the side of his boat. When he did it in front of an inclosed marina area (family area) a member tuned him in.

being that u live in a neighborhood with 300,000 dollar houses i am sure that u have a neighborhood association. I would check into their by-laws as i am sure there is something in there regarding the type of problem that u are experiencing. i live in a neighborhood with 100k-175k houses and there is a by-law with the neighborhood assoc that no vehicles over 2 axles and no trailers are to be parked on the streets and a guy with a gravel business kept parking his dump truck on the street one over from us. The neighbors took it up with the assoc and he no longer parks it there. I'm not sure what the concequences were if he did not move it but it worked. My 2 cents and i wish u good luck.

This is a unique 3 block area in Glendale where the developer Blanford Homes bought a failing subdvision. They finished off the homes under construction and doubled the home and lot size of the rest. No HOA. City and state statutes apply as well as "common acceptable law" I think that means common sense.

Any way the story gets better. Mr. A.H calls City Code on me again today and the officer comes by and tickets him for parking to close to my driveway 10' minum and on his side of the street for parking within15' of a hydrant. The best part was watching him back his rig up to the exact 10' limit and hits the neighbor's lexus. If I could find a way to post pictures I would. Case closed? I doubt it. Enjoy you bikes guys, it sounds like most of you are kool with your neighbors. Hopefully I wont have to vent anymore and thanks for the humor I was afraid I was going to get flamed. Later Eric

You guys would be best buddies before long

and soon enough,,,,you'd have a whole bunch of your own crap to park in front of his house

quadding is fun,,,,,,,try it sometime
