What is the difference between these sizes of tires? I realize one is on a 9 inch rim and one is on a 8 inch rim. But why would one tire package (9in) be $15 more than the other(8in).
Is there some kind of different realiability or anything.

The reason the 9in is more is because it takes more material to produce 9in tires and wheels than it does to produce 8in wheeels and tires. They both are great tires, with the only difference being teh wheels size and price.

Hey man Thanks alot!! I really feel stupid for not thinking of such a simple answer. I am going with the 8 inchers so i can put 18 inch turf tamers on the same rims eventually. Thanks again!

Actually, it takes more material to make an 8" tire then a 9", assuming all other dimensions are the same.
Think about it this way. You have a 20" tire, and you put the 9" rime inside it. Then put the 8" rim inside it. You would need to have more material to reach the 8" rim then the 9".
The reason the 9" cost more, is supply and demand. There is more demand for the 9" then the 8", so they mark the prices accordingly, to make the most money.

it take more tire material for 20x11x8 tires and more rim material for 20x11x9 tires......rim material costs more.....later

Maine is great. LOTS of places to ride. No matter where you live up here, there is a trail within a few miles of your house. I am originally from Wisconsin, and am looking forward to going back there for good soon though.

One other thing to keep in mind is that the 8" variety will have more sidewall than the 9". Good for a cushy ride, but bad for performance.

You can't get the 6-ply tires in 8", but you can in 9". Might be something to consider, if flats are a concern. I have the 8" Razr's and think they are pretty good tires.

if you ride aggresively then go with the 9" tire. it has less sidewall flex and will make it more predictable to slide than the 8''.
