I, too, am concerned with puncture resistance and durability riding the rocky trails in CO. How about the radial BigHorns- any experience with them? If so, how do they wear, and how is the ride comfort? Is it true that they only come in 25's? I was thinking about 26's for my Rincon.

 

I grew up riding along the Blackwater river in West Virginia where the race was held. Bad, bad, bad place, huge mud, there are probably still buried bikes out there......Great tire.

 

I break trails all the time and never once put a plug in my 589s. Just got new bugs and seem to be just as good so far. The bugs handle better and hook up better IMO.

 

you see i would run slime but i dont want to get my hiper's all crusty on the inside incase i ever sell them or something.

 

the gbc gators have a 6 ply rating and the mud bugs look basicly the same but don't know the ply on them.
