I can't give you any advice on which paddle tire to buy, but I can tell you that the stock tires are fine for use on sand. I live about 30 minutes from Pismo and have ridden there many times, and all I do is lower the air pressure to 3 - 3.5 lbs. Granted, I'm sure paddle tires would hook up a lot better, but if this is just a one-time or an annual trip, I'd forego the sand tires and spend the money on something else. Just my opinion though...

I live about 3 hours from Little Sahara and ride there about once a month. We all ride banshees but we bring a spare 400ex in case there are problems. Last time we went we had a banshee break down and my friend had to ride the 400ex. He had stock tires on it and kept up with us just fine. I was really impressed.
If you do decide to buy some sand tires, I prefer the Sand Skate II

Hey Vite,
Thanks for the input. This will be our first trip to little sahara so I think I will wait on the sand tires. Is it worth the drive ? From what I hear it sounds great! And words of advice or do's and dont's if you will about riding there ? Thanks in advance for your input ! Bet those Banshees are a Blast in the sand !
