Default How would u beef up a Rancher

I want more ground clearance, better tires, and a little more bottom end torque. I don't want to put a strain on the drivetrain or engine. I plan on a lift kit, 1" taller mud tires with rims for winter swamp rides, and maybe a filter or even new exhaust(not loud though). No snorkles, or vampires, etc.
I want a good all around bike as I use it on the farm as well. Any suggestions.

you just answered your own question............go with a lift kit.....kick up the tire size a notch.........and I understand that you don't want to strain your engine..........so to prevent that then invest in aftermarket exhaust,,,,,filter,,,,,and a clutch kit.

I guess what I'm really asking about are pros and cons.
I read elsewhere that without a jet kit the filter and exhaust wouldn't be good. Is that true? I don't want to go that deep into it. If I got light rims and tires would the motor lug? Would MudLites and aluminum rims be a good option instead of the intake/carb/muffler mods?
Lift kits cause CVs to wear faster? How much would be ok? 1in? 1.5in? Who has the different sizes and what's a good brand to go with?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm an old newbie. My last bike was a 300 4trax
