does anybody know if you can install tire chains on 27 inch tires or would it be better to stud them for more traction on ice also if you have these items on your quad let me know how well it works.

I've never used chains....I did try to stud my banshee tires myself a few years ago.

What a pain that is....It takes somewhere around 500 studs per tire and everytime you ride...you loose half of them. It could have been the method or studs used...But they do not hold up at all.
If the machine is not spinning as much as a banshee does, they might work.

Chains would be better because you can take them off when you need them off. Studs will rip up everything. You can get chains for 27 inch tires from cabelas, rocky mtn. atv, and dennis kirk for sure.
