Rear diff. - locker, spool - Where!?!
Ideally i'm looking for a locking rear differential that would be suitable for use in a Mini-Baja car that is in the process of being designed. I've noticed that polaris has something similar in their Ranger line, but i haven't been able to find specs on just the rear diff. Any suggestions on what would be best suited for this, or if that would work? The car is basically a go cart on steriods - with most of the components having the same specs those of a quad.
I think right now we are leaning towards just a spool and locking the rear axel since we haven't been able to find anything that is light and small enough for this. Are there any similar possibilities?
But mostly, where could i find something like this ?

a quad rear axel may work for you... the rear suspension will be a determining factor... swing arm, or independant rear suspension ??? nearly all quads are a solid, single axel... so no locker is needed... there are a few types of swing arm rears, drive shaft, & chain drive... & there are exposed axels, & enclosed axels... there are also several companies that offer 2" - 4" wider rear axels, that may better suite your purpose... in fact, it would be actually more difficult for you to find a rear end, that had an "open" diffy...
