Default ITP Baja wheels vs ITP T-9 Pro

I'm looking at purchasing a set of ITP Holeshot HD tire packages for my raptor that I will be racing in a hare scramble series in a few weeks. My debate is if the baja wheels are worth the extra $200 dollars over the t-9 pros.

I have the Baja on my 450, the old ITP "Edge" rims on the 400's, and the T-9's on the 250EX.

The Baja's are of course heavier because of the ring, but should be indestructible (I however haven't whacked them on anything yet, so that is just my guess). I am wary when riding a bike with T-9's, because the rim isn't reinforced, so any ding is likely to be a big one. My favorite is really the Edge rims, which sadly are no longer available. They have a rolled edge for strength, but are lighter than the Bajas because they don't have all the extra metal.

Anyway, if you ride rocky terrain and particularly if you are racing, get the Baja's. It's worth the extra money, because if you go T-9, you will probably be replacing them every season.

I prefer Rocky Mountain for buying tires/rims.
