Same size on front and back?
#1
Hey, I'm looking to replace my stock tires and have always wondered if 25x10 front and back would be better than 25x8, 25x10. If so, would I be able to put a 10" tire on the stock front rim in place of the 8" that's on there now?
Was also wondering if I should go with Buggs over Lites for the extra tread depth?
Thanks

400fga,
To really give a good opinion it would be nice to know what kind of wheeler you are riding. IMO it matters.
I have 25x10 all around on my wolverine and I wish I would have known better and put the 25x8 in the front. It really matters how powerful you machine is, if it has low range 350 or bigger if would go 25x10 front and back. No low range I would want at least a 450+ to put the 10inchers in the front.
That is what I figure at least.

I'm driving a 400 Rancher AT (trx400fga). I'm not worried about power with mudlites cause they're only 14 lbs heavier than stock, I'm more interested in if there is any benefit or disadvantage of having the rear tires follow the same size tire. Are front tires usually smaller so that the rear has stuff to grab on to?

2" wider is not going to be too bad on front end components if you are on a 25" diameter. The wider front end helps a lot with floatation instead of the front end digging/sinking into the mud sand or snow.

About the rim if you stock tire is lets say (25-10-12) then u can put (25,26-9,10,11-12) In other words you cannot change last number!! YOU can change middle up one or down and first number to what u want as long as it clears the fender i have heard u can put 27 on that bike but it is bad for it so probaly dont wanty to go over 26...
