What's up with Titan?
#1
A friend of mine ordered a set of 589's, and was told he would have to wait until October for them to ship. Then, he heard that titan had sold out to another company, and since Titan still held the patent on the 589's, the new company couldn't use it's design. They would have to modify the design, and get their own patent. Anyone heard anything about this?

I think Carlise tire bought them out, but as far as I know they were supposed to keep producing the tires under the titan name. Maybe they are just plain out of tires, the 589's have become very popular, at least in my area.

I know a lady at a local tire dealer that is a titan dealer. She said that titan was bought by Carlisle, but the titan line up would not change. I was hoping to get some 589's so hopefully they will still be available.
She also said that they were having trouble getting titans in stock due to the change in ownership.
