wetlands tires
Hello All, I am a new member, but have been doing extensive research on tires for my 05 Kodiak on the forum. After much time and energy spent where and what to buy, I decided on the new Wetlands tires. It seems to incoporate all the features that I wanted: radial construction, more agressive than my stock tires, extended tread life( we will see), and my spending budget of under $300 for a set. I ordered them yesterday from motorcycle-superstore.com, and should be delivered in less than a week. Thanks for all your help, and I will be giving updates on the performance of my new treads.

I decided to go with the 25" tires. I was a little concerned about losing hp. May have not seen any difference but I wanted to stay under $300, including the shipping cost, it totaled $299.96. Has anyone out there ran the new wetlands, and how have they performed? I was not even sure how long they have been out, just saw them about a week ago, and looked about like the perfect tire for my riding style.

The Wetlands are the same as the Polaris PXT's which are on the 2005 Polaris machines. You'll love them. I have aftermarket tires/wheels also, but those PXTs ride so nice, are a radial and 6 ply....tough, smooth with great all-around tread. They work pretty good in the mud too...

Only took a short ride down to the river and back, so I can't fully evaluate them, but 1st impression is good. First thing I noticed is that it steers easier. Counterintuitive to me because it has a larger contact patch, but it was noticeable. The other thing was that they tracked straighter. Less steering input to stay where I pointed it (4" fresh light powder on frozen base with ice spots). The quad also slides less (almost none) on side hills. Hope to get a good ride in Sunday. Nice tire so far. Glad I went with the 26” because they look better than those ballons I had before and I have ¾” more ground clearance with 7psi.
