27" vamps vs Bi/Tri Claws
Both tires are awesome! The vamps tend to dig down trying to find a solid bottom and when they do, they hook. the bi/tris tend to have more of a floatation/paddle ability. Both tires are suitable for mud/trail with the bi/tris being a slightly better trail tire (imo). I would base my selection on what type of mud you ride. If the mud has a solid bottom the vamp is good. If it's a bottomless, watery, gooey mud, then the bi/tris would be better. If they're for a Rancher, I'd go with the bi/tri since they're lighter and the rancher would have a tougher time turning a heavy 27" Vamp. Quite a few people run 27" bi/tris on Ranchers with pipe/jet but only thin 26" Vamps with same mods.
