holeshotxct vs raxer vs shedder
#3
Personnally, I prefer the Holeshot XC in the rear and the 23" Holeshot XC on the front. Never used the Shredder so I can't comment on them. I have used the Razr and the Holeshot both in GNCC racing and I think the Holeshot is the better tire. They are a slightly softer compound therefore they wear faster but by being softer they give a slightly better bite, especially on slick surfaces. Also, the Razr is not as tall as the Holeshot even though they have the same size rating. This being the case, you can high center the bike slightly easier with the Razrs. I also have less flats with the Holeshots. As far as experience with them, I typically go though about 15 sets of tires each year. These tire are being used on a Roll Design 250R. As far as the Holeshot XCT, too tall for my purpose.

Actually the Razr is a much softer compound that gives better acceleration and traction. As for wear, from what I hear, they wear just as much as regular tires. As for the flats, the XC are kevlar belted and the Razrs are not. The Razrs can come kevlar belted. I like them both, but perfer the Razr because I ride a lot of sand and the Razr has the bite in the sand. The only reason I would purchase hte XCT is if I absolutly needed ground clearance or maybe owned a Polaris and didn't wanna change stock tire size.

I've got 20x11x9 Holeshots on my Banshee, but is too low to the ground....going to 22 next time for ground clearance. I love these tires so far...for my purpose (XC and woods riding) they are first rate. For extra flat resistance, get Slime before you mount up.

I'm gonna be riding mostly mx and some cross country. which would be best razr or shredder? are the regular ones 4 ply? I don't think I need 6 ply since I haven't had any flats on the stockers and they are what 2 ply? let me know what ya'll think. later

I am also running XC rear and XCT front Holeshots. I like the combo. Good handling and traction in most cases, but still spin a lot on starts.
These are tought tires. Not sure why that one guy had lots of problems. The XC is the first tires I have ever not run slime in, and still don't have any flats, and I ride it hard in rocks and thorny areas.
