Tire Sizes Questions?
I had a set of 26inch Mudlites that some unfortunate person decided to take a sharp object to the sidewalls rendering them useless. They also did the same to the stock tires on my TRV wich doesn,t break my heart too much. My insurance, through some haggling, has graciously decided to cover the cost of one set of tires. Now I am in the process of getting or selecting new ones.
I am getting another set of 26inch mudlites for the 400 but I am looking at another tire for the TRV. What I want to know is if they make an ATV tire that has a stiffer side wall for towing like the ratings they have for cars/trucks?
I thought that there might be a tire that has a decent tread similar to the mudlites that also has a stiffer sidewall?
If you know of one can you let me know the actual size of the tires, (height, width, and psi you run). I ran my mudlites between 4-12psi. Never could find the right pressure. I am leaning towards mudlites for the TRV as well but I tow a tandem axle trailer so much that I thought I might look to see if someone had come across something that might work a little better.
Thank in advance
SJ

Tire Sizes Questions?
i am pretty sure that they dont make tires like that for atvs, but i do know that vampire tires are very heavy, maybe some of this weight is in the sidewall-i dont know
is your TRV the 400 or 500?- if its the 400, maybe heavier tires arent the way to go cuz i know that motor is a little weak
good luck.........450kodman
