Gearing VS. Speed
#2
Thats hard to calculate because quads have different tire sizes, tranny gearing, power etc...
As for the Trailblazer I had one that was built for hill climbs. If you dont have mods then going down several teeth on the rear will kill power. It may not have enough power to carry that much of as gear change. You would at least need a pipe, filter, jetting and clutch mod. Different years of trailblazers came with different gearing. Can you tell me what year your blazer is? Usually for every 2 teeth up or down you gain or lose 3-4mph. 1 tooth on the front is equal to 2 teeth on the rear. So if your stock front is 11t then you can go to a 13t. You will gain 6-8mph but then you lose alot of bottom end power.

Well I don't have one...Yet I plan on getting one and I was wondering about gears because I wanted to know if it was going to be worth buying. If I do get one it will be atleast a 2000- 2004. I also plan on getting an Arctic Cat comet clutch, 18in Maxxis Razr MX tires, DG exhaust, and a Uni filter.

Well you have half the mods right. First off DO NOT get a dg pipe for the trailblazer. DG is junk for Polaris. You will lose power and gain alot of sound. A comet clutch is ok but you can get better cheaper setups. 18 tires will kill top end so doing a gear change will bring it back up to stock speed at best. If you go to 18" tires it will rev way too high and you will get no where. Stock is a 22" tire. You need to read up on the trailblazers in the Polaris forum. They are great and reliable bike but by no means are they fast. In stock form top speed is 50mph. Great suspension with alot of travel and a comfy ride for the trails. It jumps ok to. My Moded 250 did 67mph. That was with about $1500 in mods. It would easily beat scrambler 400's which are pretty fast. Warriors, 400ex were no match. You can get a stage 1 speed kit from RCR that has a pipe, clutch mod, air filter mod, jets for 325 shipped. This is the best deal you can get. There are a ton of hop up parts for the 250 just stay away from DG and FMF.....
These are good for the trailblazer.
