also once your putting screws in the tire , the way the slot in the screw head is facing also detrmines if traction

Default Studded Tires???

you could save yourself a gallon of fix a flat if you stick with studs that are 3/4 in. or shorter,depending on the **** thickness. when you buy screws from the hardware store its hard to find ones that will cut into the ice. buy the wrong ones and you may have less traction on the ice. just remember riding on anything but ice will greatly reduce stud life!! dennis kirk.com sells studs if you want to look at some.

hey guys...are the cheng chin tires any good for studding and where can u find them cheap??? also what kind of studs are you using(Also sorry SLE for interrupting your topic)

Default Studded Tires???

Just did up my stock Rhino tires for plowing and the lake ice. I used sheet metal screws because a buddy of mine installs ducting and gets em free from work. If you're going to buy them, don't get the self-tapping ones. I used about 260 per tire.

just deflate the tire put a motercycle drive chain around it(2 in the rear)
make shure its kimda thght then inflate it

has anyone ever heard of useing one in skidoo studds , i have a banshee and i want to hook up on ice and stuff and will drive some tight snowy trails in nova scotia.. i have a set of near bald razrs for back and cant afford to buy a new set to stud right know cuz i have a 1200$ rebuild plus the tires i want arent the best for the sheet metal screws or ice studs so i wanted to put ski doo studs in if anyone can help me out it would be muchly appreciated thanks alot -connor
