Default Sand tires working as snow tires?

I have a Honda 300EX, and in about 5 to 6 inches of snow my all terrain tires are useless. I want to find a tire that will work in snow, and I was curious if sand tires will work in snow? And if they do work, what are some suggestions for sand tires?

If there good in mud then there good in snow. Once snow gets to a certain depth than its time for a set of tracks or a snowmobile,no way around it.

Alright thanks guys. I'm from PA so the snow doesn't get too deep. Right now I have the stock tires on it, and I just bought some Maxxis Razr II's, but I haven't had a chance to ride em yet, I will see how those do. I don't want to spend the extra money on a set of paddle tires if I don't have to.

Maxxis makes tires specifically for snow, that also would work well in sand. They are called "Maxxis 4-snow". Here is a link Picture
