Default Tire size

It's time to replace my stock tires: 24 X 8 x 12 FRONT, 24 X 9 X 11 REAR
I have a TRX350 Rancher, 4X4 all the time. Is it OK to go taller on the front and back for the extra ground clearance? I'm thinking 25s or maybe 26s. From what I'm reading I need to keep the change equal on the front and rear!
It's used for plowing and work around the house. I'm cleaning up the mess the loggers left and want a tire that will not puncture too easy on thorns etc. Kenda Bear Claw is cheaper than most, is it a good tire?

The 25s will probably be a good choice, and yes you need to use the same size front and rear.

P.S. You will only gain 1/2" of ground clearnace.

Yes, you do need to keep the front and rear tires the same height, or you will bind up the 4 wd.

Seeing this is a work quad, and low end is what it is all about....be aware that you will lose low end power with the taller tires becasue you are raising the effective gearing, not to mention that the tires will be heavier.

Consider getting a Warn 424. This will turn it into a selectable 2wd/4wd. Best thing you can do to one of these machines!!!

Sounds like you want to stay with the stock rims. I'm not sure what is available out there that fits the stockers. I have had great luck with the OEM tires on my Ranchers. I ran big tires/rims for a while, but discovered that they just ruin the quads sweet handling, so I went back to the stock ones.
