In the next month I plan to purchase a set of tires for my Rubicon. I am going to stay with O.E.M. size 25" tires. I have narrowed the choice down to Goodyear Mud runners or 589 Titans. Is either tire true measurements or are they a 24" diameter like most tires? Would also like to know which tire rides and handles the best on hard pack?

I like the 589's they seem to be a good tire. But they are on the short side compaired to the stock tires from my HO. Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can try them in the mud?? Got them after the snow flew. But they do work great in the white stuff! If and when I do buy tires again I'd look at the 26"ers. As for ride on hard(frozen) ground they seem to ride fairly well but do grab at everything when they spin.

PS
I got the 25"ers cheaper do to the fact that some guys wife didn't like them. (she ordered them as a gift and didn't think he'd like the tire after she saw them??) Also saved on buying new 12" rims for a bigger tire.

I second the 26 inchers.
