Not sure what your idea of "rocks" is, but this is where I ride rocks:

Over the years, I have run several different tires. Most recently, the ITP Holeshot ATR's (25") on some ITP 12X7" rims. They recently wore out, so I grabbed the old (brand new...never really been used) stock tires from the shed, and thew them on. Know what, I am liking the stockers just fine everywhere except in the snow (you have to go to the mountains, deliberately looking for snow here in So. Calif.).
So, my point is that sometimes these monster specialty tires are overrated! Sometimes, I think it is just a "look" that appeals to folks, and the performance can be imaginary....

i agree stocks can provide all the traction for rock climbing, in fact my friend may borrow mine when we go back out b/c his are highlifter m/s/t and they are not good for the rocks. I use the swamplites and they worked fine. Ill have to get some pics next time we go, its bolder after bolder there. Out average speed was 4 mph.

other than big horns, what are some other rock climbing tires? Ive considered terracross as a possability.</end quote></div>
I decided to go with the Duro Power Grips for my quad. I just dropped them off toe get mounted Friday so I am pumped to pick them up tomorrow!
Rocky Mountain ATV - Duro Power Grip Tire
They are radials just like the bighorns and are lighter but have a more square look to them. I REALLY liked the price as RockyMountain was having a sale! I got all 4 tires and a Twin Airfilter kit for my nephews 07 KQ700 for $320 Shipped! so basically the tires came to $225 (after discount)

Take a look at GBC tires. they have a few like the Dirt Commander that are 8-ply so they should be very tough and puncture resistant. http://www.gbcmotorsports.com/produc...commander.aspx
