Default Tire size (before mounting)

I ordered some Carlisle 4 ply 25x10-12 tires online. They measure 22.5" outside diameter. When they are mounted how much will they expand when inflated?

No way to tell until it is mounted and aired up. The numbers on the tire are just in the ballpark. Every tire is a little different, no matter what the numbers say....

I know that my Carlisle 489's measure 24" mounted and inflated even though they are a 25" rated tire. I think Carlisle's generally measure small.

Thanks.

I am only changing the rear tires (2007 Brute Force 650 SRA)...will I have any problems with a small difference (if any) in size between front and rear?

The stockers measure 24.84 in front and 25.28 in the rear (according to Dunlop)

On the old 300 4X4, Honda made the rear tires 1" taller than the front. This makes the rear push more than the front pulls, so that keeps the steering light so it doesn't fight you. In later models, they simply geared the rear a little taller than the front.

If you find that your front steering fights you, especially when you have engaged the locker, it might even help???????
