hey all,
i just installed new titan 589 /mt on my 2002 grizzly. the new 26 in tires raised the quad at least 2 inchs, and has made the stance at least 4 inchs wider. i used itp alunium rims, all 4 12x7. after trying them for the first time, i can tell ya, it doesn't take away from the power at all, but more so it helps it take off faster, due to the hookup. the ride surprised me with the smoothness, as i thought i would be feeling all the lugs. not as plush as the stockers, but worth every red cent!!! i bought them from highlifter, rims and all mounted and with air shipped to my house in 4 days for a total of $654.00 i took alot of before, during, and after pics, so check them out.

Sounds like a nice setup mich660griz. My 589mt tires came in finally on Sat and I'll be picking them up on Tuesday. I cant wait to get them on. I'm putting 489xts on the front though to hopefully keep the steering a bit light. The pics are great, those 589s definately have a bite to them dont they.

hey scram 500 man'
they sure do have abite to them. i just cant wait for the spring thaw so i can really go to work with them, heehee. the steering is still real lite with the 589 on the front, even better than i had wished for. you never realize how bad the stock tires are till you put on new stockier ones.

in my titans, i run 4 psi, and it seemed to smooth it out a little. under 5 mph, i do feel the lugs, but as soon as i get on it, it smooths out pritty good. i know it isn't as plush as the stockers, but way smoother than i expected.

Hello Mich Griz,

I have a 660 and was wondering if 27" tire would fit without rubbing?? How much clearance you got left with the 26" tires??

hey grizzly 660'
i dont thnk the 27 would fit with my rims. if i bottom out with the 26 in, i can hear it slightly rub on the inner fenders in the front. i am glad i didn't go for the 27, couse i dont think they will fit. you can ask the guys athighlifter if the rims can be altered from them to fit the 27 in. if you call there, they are really informed on what does and does not fit. by the way, if you want to buy a great tape of offroading in the mud, buy the belle cote tape from them, it is all that! good luck with your choise.

Thanks MICH,

I think I'm going to order 26" tires unless they talk me out of it. I'm supprised there isn't more imfo out there on the subject. I have under 500 miles on the machine and don't even want to ride it with the stock rubber anymore. Its definatelythe weakest link. Thanks for the imfo!!

I've been running 26" Titan589M/T's on stock rims for a few months and LOVE them. Everyone who rides behind me for the first time comments how good it looks and how much mud the kick up!
