I race flat track and 1/8 mile pavement drag races on my banshee. The prob is when dumping the clutch on the pavment with slicks and track bite the chain seems to be the weakest link and breaks. Any one know of a solution to this problem? I am usuing the D.I.D. 520 ERT chain with 8470 lbs. of average tensile strength. I have broke two chains so far. Could it be that the two chains that I have broke were made on friday after noon before a big holliday weekend or am I just overpowering the chains.

Before my 500 kit I ran an 8.4 at 75.25 mph. After running that kind of time I decided it was time to up grade. any way I got my engine back with two races left in the season and broke the chain both times.
