I was wondering which tires to buy for my Kingquad Gators or Kenda Bearclaw's. I ride alot of hard packed trails and alot of deep mud. Which tire would you guys pick?

I put a new set of 25x10x12 Bearclaws on my 95 Wolverine about 6 weeks ago. Ride smooth and straight on gravel and dirt roads. On paved roads the vibrate a little but not near as much as the Blackwater's I had before. I haven't tried them in mud yet, but I did have them in the snow and they seemed to work better than I thought. I got them from East Kentucky Motorsports, his price on the Bearclaws mounted on new steel wheels was $430 shipped to my door. The next cheapest place was over $500 with shipping. Make sure you ask about shipping before you buy, because it is expensive.

I have a set of 22" bearclaws on my warrior and they are good tire. I have gotten pretty good wear and they work great in mud and snow.

I PUT GATOR TIRES ON MY SUZUKI 23-8X10 FRONT AND BACK.
THEY HANDLE BETTER THAN DUNLOP STOCK TIRES AND THE TRACTION
IS GREAT.I BOUGHT THEM FROM WWW.EASTKENTUCKYMOTORSPORT.COM
$205 DELIVERED.I HAVE AN INCREASE IN SPEED AND HORSEPOWER
BY PUTTING THE SAME TIRE ON ALL FOUR.

I just ordered a set of Gators, I should have them on the bike tomorrow. From what I've read, they are very smooth for a mud tire. I'll let you know in a day or so how I like them. From all the posts I've read almost no one is disappointed with them.

Hey goboy, I was thinking about BearClaws for replacements for the Prairie 650 tires when the time comes. How do they compare to the stock Dunlop tires? You said that they are a little stiffer riding, I guess it is because of the six-ply rating compared to the Dunlop’s 2 ply I think. Also, with them mounted on your Prairie, how tall are they? I measured my stock tires last night as the Prairie sets on them, and the rear tires where 24.5 inches, and the fronts where 23.75 inches. I don't want to put taller tires on mine, because I don't wont to affect my acceleration any I just want a tire that performs as good as the stock tires or better, even more traction would be nice, and I would like them to be as puncture resistant as possible. I really only ride in dry conditions down here in Vegas, so mud really isn't a concern. I want a tire that will run as smoothly as the stock tires due on hard surfaces, and that handle as well when I'm cornering fast and stuff like that. I was wondering how the BearClaws did in that respect as compared to the stock tires. I'm also thinking about the Maxxis All Trek racing type tires.

Got the Gators mounted this afternoon and took a little ride. WOW! what a tire. They are 26x12x12 rear and 26x10x12 rear on a 2000 Foreman S. There was plenty of room without lifting, using stock rims. I don't know about 27 inchers though, it would have been close.
They ride smooth on hard ground and pavement. I couldn't believe how well they rode on all kinds of ground. They track very well also. I kind of thought they might pull back and forth, like a lot of mud tires do, but they don't. They steer easier than stock Dunlops and you tell them where to go, not them pulling in whatever direction they want. I didn't notice any power loss going up one size either, but I haven't had a chance to really give 'em a good trouncing. I had them up to 35 or so mph on blacktop and they were smooth as stock or maybe even better. I can climb hills with the best of 'em now, these things really dig. I thought when I saw the tread design and depth, that they would be rough riding, but it ain't so.
All the people that posted about them really being a good tire were telling the truth. I just can't believe how they ride. I haven't tried them in deep mud yet but I will soon.
If you've been on the fence about which tire to buy, GET THE GATORS, I can't imagine you'd be sorry.
I really do think these are one of the best all around tires. I've tried them on my property from pavement to light mud and many, many hills and they really are great.

We had bearclaw tires on our old wheeler and they worked great in mud snow and on hardpack. My dad was thinking of putting a bigger set of tires on the 650 and i was wondering how deep of lug the 26 or 27 inch gators have.

Area51.......
I have the answer to your question,,
The Meanest, toughest, best wearing smoothest riding all around tire out there.
Dirt Devil A/T.
They have NO vibration on hardpack or pavement, and they steer easy on everything,
they bite hard. in everything from mud with an ice crust, or trees,
I have a Scram 400 4x4, not much clearance, but lots of power, I decided not to follow my friend on his lil' bayou 220 and took an alternate route right through a mud pit, and up a bank, but there where 4 downed trees all a tires gap away from each other i had to get over, they where all about 10 - 20 inches tall off the ground, I tried it in two wheel drive, and i got stuck halfway through, having no low i think what i did next is a feat, i put in in AWD put it in reverse and held override, i climed it backwards up the trees i got stuck in, then i went foward and it ripped right over the trees, these tires not only have awsome forawrd traction, but great reverse traction , and I have not got stuck once, whatso ever with these tires, that i had to get off the quad for
