Thinking of going with a larger tire size soon for my 93 Kawasaki Bayou 400 4x4. It has stock 24's on it now was thinking of stepping up to some Vampires or a similarly aggressive style. Will 26 or 27's work without a lift? what about wheel spacers? Anyone recomend some cheaper tires comparable to the Vampires ?

 

i have 27" vampires on my 2002 rancher 4x4, they work great. although i would recomend goin with a 26" tires. interco came out with new vampires called vampire ASX, i would get sum of those in a 26".

 

Thanks for your input....but what is your reason for recommending the 26's over the 27's? are the 27's just a little bit too big?

 

He probally recommended the 26 sax because thats the only size they have. The asx have huge sidewall lugs but not as deep main lugs as a regular 27 inch vampire. YOu shouldn't need spacers unless you go wider than 10" up front and 12" in back. and for 27 inch tires i would think that alift kit would be needed but i dont really know.

A good site to check is highlifter or rocky mountain atv for better cheaper prices.
