I have a 300 ex still with stock tires that could be called slicks, not getting as much grip as i'd like to and am looking to buy new tires.

This is pretty frustrating, everyone says exactly the opposite of everyone else. I really need to know what is the best tire (rear) for riding: Hard Packed dirt & dusty conditions???

The majority vote right now is for the RAZR'S or the holeshots but i want to make sure i get ones that are good for the places i ride. Also i know that there are sevreal kinds of holeshots which one would be better?? (XC, XCT, MX)

Well I got Razrs on my Mod Banshee and I ride on Hard packed dirt & dusty conditions.
And they hook up real good and I also had holeshots and they are good for lose dirt.
And make sure you get the 6 PLY and they also have a Razr 2.

Take a look at the Shredders, thay are a great tire and from what I've seen there tighter tread pattern performs better on hardpack and other trail conditions.

You can't go wrong with Razrs or Holeshots, and I'm actually curious to see how much better the Razr 2's are now that they are out...

BTW- I run 20x11x9 6-ply Razr rears... love 'em!

For all conditions, I would have to say shreders also. THey have about the longest wearing tires also.

My friend has both razrs and holeshots. He prefers the holeshots, says they hook up better in the muddy sections. But he also says the holeshots seem to wear out faster.
