#1
Im looking to move to better than stock tires...wondering what size would be adequate for my rancher so that it would not bog the engine down and put wear on ne thing, i usually go mudrunning and like to hit alota creeks and rivers also....yes it is a 4x4

I have a buddy who runs 26" BI/CLAWS on his Rancher...
Here are a couple of pics:
Racher Claws 1
Rancher Claws 2
He loves them!!!! They have awesome grip, ride decent on hard pack, look , and give the machine a little more clearance.
Down side? They are bigger and suck a tad bit of power, but the added traction makes up for it big time!!!
At any rate, I think you would be safe going to a 26" tire. Which ever tire you choose!!

I wouldn't go any larger than 26". I think you could get away with a more aggressive tread pattern while keeping the same diameter, especially if intend to stay stock. I like the Titan 589 MT's. If I were buying today, I think I'd try the new ITP ATR's (All Terrain Radials). You'll be able to go to 26" without a lift kit.
