titan or itp
#2
There is a difference, the Titan has more cleaning ribs in the tread that help the tread profile stay cleaner. I think it also probably gets better traction on hard-packed trails and dirt roads. I have the Titan, so I can't speak on the ITP as more than a novice. ITP has an excellent reputation and does a lot of advertising and marketing of their products. When I bought the Titan, it was after about three to four months of searching for the right tire for my riding style; primarily wooded trails, pleasure riding, some snow plowing, and very little mudding (I've actually never gotten mud above my wheel spindles!). I wrote to Sarge and he recommended the Titan over my other consideration at the time, the Mud Shark. Additionally, I wanted a flatter tread profile as opposed to a rounded shape. I'm guessing if you ride in mud and are into that sort of thing, the ITP might be your better choice, with their more aggressive appearing lug pattern. If you're like me and my riding style, you can't go wrong with the Titan. Oh also, I was looking for a tire I could mate with my stock wheels, which are 8x12 in the front and 9x11 in the rear. The Titan also fit this requirement.
Happy hunting.
Happy hunting.
