i am going to the sand dunes in michigan around the middle of August and i was wondering what are the dunes up there like. thanks for any information

you'll need forestry approved spark arrestors, flags, MI dnr stickers and pass 96db sound test. Dunes can be tricky on windy days. Ride down by Lake Michigan and go swimming. If you have truck drive out in the dunes and park by Lake Michigan.

 

if you are 98db and under they will let you in, it is a random check.

MI ORV sticker $16.25, state park day pass $4, also need a flag(can get by entrance).

Its a good time.

 

would a fmf fatty and fmf power core2 on a 250R pass the 98db sound test?

 

I was just there a couple of weeks ago. They are correct, the 98 db is a random theck, but they do a 100% FORRESTRY APPROVED spark arrestor check. The only people I have ever seen getting checked for db is the fools that roll up to the gate revving up the motor. Just simply idle up to the gate, let them check the arrester, and very slowly idle away. This works for me.

that is usually when they check people, but I rolled up quietly and they checked me.
Only 93db though!

 

i use fmf fatty and powercore. it only passes with new packing.
