Are you taking donkey to Sandfest. If so goodluck your going to need it.

 

XR650WARRIOR, I live just outside of Houston in Cleveland. Do you have some pics of your motor project?

 

Yes, let's see some pics. Always liked the xr650 engine - why the warrior chassis though?

 

Yes, have plenty of pics as project was being put together but hard to post , as my computer gives me problems trying to post pics.

Warrior chassis was not by choice, just what I had available after my hopped up warrior motor clutch basket exploded and trashed the engine cases.

Rather than fixing, decided to do a big block 4-stroke project , when we started back then there were no such thing yet as DS650's, Raptor 660's etc.

Just as I was finishing mine, all the other bikes started coming out.

But I'm satisfied, it's one of a kind at least.

 

A stock Warrior may need a little help in the suspension but after that the parts are easy to find, inexpensive, and the quad has an extremely low center of gravity. Was the mod simply a case of fabricating motor mounts or was it pretty intensive? I thought of doing one along those lines but havn't found a descent donor....Ball
