Idaho St. Anthony dunes vs Oregon dunes

I think that St. Anth's is probably a bit bigger in dune "size", but the Oregon Dunes has alot of variety. There are so many places to ride here. You can spend a week going from ORV park to another and really enjoy all of them without getting bored of the scenery.

The drive is great I'am not sure were you are coming from but if you start in Portland. Which is the big city in Oregon and head towards Tillamook you can hit SandLake which is small but good for the kids. Then keep heading south and you can hit Florence which is great. Keep heading south some more and you can hit Winchester Bay which is the bad boy and there is a a few diffrent parts ti winchester along with a 400 to 600 foot hill climb. I can't remember but I think it is 400ft. If you really want to travel from Winchester Bay you head east towards the desert and hit Christmas valley there is alot of open dunes with practically no one around. Then from Christmas valley go hit St. Anthoneys in Idaho. Hope this is helpful.

Oregon Dunes dont even compare to St. Anthony. We only go to the oregon dunes because St. anthony is a little warm in the peak of summer. We will be at St. A the last week in may, we will be at the oregon dunes the first week in july. Go to St. A and enjoy.

Hey jetsnow600...
How long does it take you to get to St. Anthony's dunes from Placerville? Do you know how many miles it is? Thanks!

14 hours or so each way but worth it. Its only 9-10 to the oregon dunes for us but its well worth the extra drive. I think St. A is better than glamis, we are going to glamis a week from today, will be down there for a week. I am finally getting the itch for quads, been snowmobiling since november and its been an awesome winter.

They are both fun places to ride! Oregon gives me the feeling of being "in town". In St. Anthony, you feel more like you are away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, just you and a bunch of other like minded sand lovers! Seeing the ocean in Oregon is pretty cool(literally).
Did I mention.....In St. Anthony's you can jump a dune....Look over while your in the air....and see the Grand Teton's.
THEY ARE BOTH "MUST SEE" PLACES!!!
