Planning our first trip to coral pink utah easter weekend and called the campground today and they are booked. Is there an area near the dunes with dunes access that you can park a camper. There will be 2 of us with campers. I need several ideas and how to get to these places since we have never been there before and won't arrive until friday night. Any info will help.

Take I-15 north to St. George, Utah. Take the Hurrican turnoff and go south. In Hurrican take the highway that goes to Fredonia, watch out for the speed trap just outside Fredonia. Turn left at the stop sign and go to Kanab, Utah. Go north through Kanab approximately 25 miles. the turnoff is on the left and the signs don't give you much time before the turnoff. Go left and follow the road for several miles. Approximately 2 miles before the campground there is an area off to your left that you can go in and park. It looks like a small dry lake bed. You an access the duens from there. Good Luck. I was there last year and had a blast. I'm going back this year.

 

ther is also a back way in just out side of colorado city, its kinda hard to find if you dont know the way or you can use it on the way out just head past the main camp ground and follow the dirt road out and it will save ya having to go around through fredonia and kanab. If you are planning on a fire there in the lot u need a pan and make sure your bikes are registered ther real ***** down ther about it, last time I was there they were on me before I unloaded.
