Default oregon dunes

im going out to hood this summer for snowboarding and i was wondering if there are dunes around there because if there are i would like to convince the pops to bring a rv out there and do some duning i think hood is by bend i know its like 50-80 miles from portland and pdx

i think florence is closest to you. Then it would be winchester, then coosbay. All are within 20 minutes of eachother.

is that in oregon, because i am in pa and im gonna be out there for 9 days for camp, and hopefully more to go duning[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Christmas Valley in Eastern Oregon is supposed to have some sweet dune action. Christmas Link 1 Christmas valley link 2. St.Anthony dunes are in Idaho. They would be a worthy trip from Mt.Hood. St.Anthony

Sand lake is only an hour and a half outside portland, for florence you are looking at a few hour trip but a lot more dunes.

there is christmas valley about 4 hrs from portland, sand lake, florence, winchester bay, coosbay. there just a few place to ride[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

thanks for the info i might talk my dad into going but i dont think it will happen so if that fails i will most likely talk him into going to someplace in michigan someone said to check out

I think you are going to have plenty of stuff to do at Hood without going to the dunes. I was there for ski camp several years ago and had a great time. Which camp are you going to? I have a friend that is going to be up there this summer for a freestyle camp but I can't remember which one.

im going to high cascade the only bad part is the solfar(spelling) smell if you can recall lol it sorta smells like rotten hamburgers
