Personally, I'm not a huge fan of paddles (just think other tires tread lighter) but I love sand. Not saying they don't make a difference. But, you can make it up just about anything if you hit it hard enough. Anything under 100 ft rise should be a cake walk for a banshee.

ps - when I say rise, I mean dang near straight up.

He's going to st anthonies. Your not getting up anything west of the blm parking lot with out padles if the sand is dry.

There's not a single slope out there he can make, huh? Your telling me I can make it up a 50 foot verticle slope in 2nd gear without paddles but he can't make it up a gradual slope hitting it in 5th?

Never seen a dune with 2 slide sides much less 4. You'll have to post pics. I can't wait to see this!

I was refering to a preditor with razrs trying to go up any of the huge dunes at st anthonies. Silver lake dunes in no way should be compared to St anthonies.

I just wish I lived closer so I could bet on that.

All the dunes I've seen have a steep face and a not-so-steep face and then the ends are usually pretty gradual. Maybe not every hill but to say somebody can't climb any of the many hills out there.....I don't know about that. Not on a decent quad.
