What is going on at Pismo???

I think it is worth the trip, the further back you go the less people you will find, and weekdays are obviously the least crowded. I went on a monday two weeks ago and near the boundaries there are decent dunes and relatively few people. The weather is perfect, it gets windy, but what desert doesn't. Go and enjoy. I try to avoid weekends, so if you go, let me know how crowded even the furthest out areas get.

With all those fences they have up I don't understand why they don't block off a few access lanes for those who want to camp further back off the beach. The biggest problem we found was trying to find a way through the barrier of trailers lined up along the beach. The same was true when trying to leave.

They I think are going to start that. I was there the 8-10th and there was a "chute" going back into sand highway. And a couple other places. I think they should do more of those along the beach so people can get in and out. Idiots come along, get stuck, and set up camp. I borrow a little trailer sometimes and I really don't want to have to run a slolom course to get back somewhere. Down at Pole 6 its a friggin sand pit. Almost get stuck with the quad (high center on ruts.)
I say make a chute ever say...hmm 1/8 mile.
I'll find out tomorrow if they are still up. Hopefully they are. Gotta head back off the beach...going to be a +7 this weekend. I ain't goin swimmin!
