Had a blast at the dunes.
Anyone else think the sand was a little rough?

 

Yes it was, but went out just before dark last night and the wind had made it nice and smooth.

 

The wind really helped dry and smooth the sand by sat afternoon. It was very nice.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Yup, had a great time. Can't wait to go again!

 

Anyone see the dude on the 450r wad up on the sand drags Saturday night? Looked like he was ok, but the quad looked like the front frame where the frame narrows before the a-arms looked bent. The rear tire was off the bead and the whole thing was going down the drag after the crash like a monster truck with both tires pointed in the same direction. Man there was going to be some repair work needed there.
Also, my sister's friend had his, ahem...$100,000 dollar (you read right) buggy out there and got rear ended/sideswiped that took out the 1200hp northstar motor, tranny, the works.
I guess that's why I own a beater, hit that thing I'm out maybe 3-5 grand. Sucks for him though I'm sure he's planning on upgrading again.
