When we're at Oregon coast, (Winchester / Florence) I ride those things ALMOST everywhere. Can I get up Banshee hill, NO way. I'm 6'3 - 240. HOWEVER, I CAN get up just about anything else with a good run. Also, at my size, I bet I couldn't go anywhere if I had paddles...it'd be too much traction...I don't think they could turn them. I just go to the dunes for fun - not as hardcore as others. If you're looking to buy new - FOR THE MONEY - you just can't beat those little things. I am amazed at where they can go.
Do you have pipes on them??
If not, you will notice a WORLD of difference!!

No pipes yet. I've heard, from many, that pipes make all the difference. Anyone know a good place to get deals on pipes? The prices never seem to vary much...always near full price wherever I look. (Boy, do I sound like a cheapskate or what?)

Not sure who has the best deals on pipes. Rocky mountain ATV seems to have the lowest prices on just about everything else, so I'd give them a try.
We put the FMF "Fatty" on ours, and it flat out ripped!! Like night and day!
If you are looking for more power (always on the dunes), then get the pipe, and get some paddle tires for the rear, and it will do very well!

Don't forget to re-jet!!
I think ours had a 290 main jet, and moved the needle clip down one position.

Rocky is really hard to beat, if you're buying 2 pipes they'll probably combine shipping too.

Hey 2fun, post up when you're heading for St Anthony this year maybe we'll meet you down there. Weather holds up I'll be there Saturday

Forget that, send it to HWD and let the Doc work his magic on building you a racing motor!
