Default Has anyone ridden st.anthony this year yet?

I might be going to st.anthony dunes april 22 and I am wondering what the weather would normally be like this early. This will be my 10th time I am from canada. What gear can the honda and yamaha 450s climb choke cherry in? My stock 250r atc with skat traks could climb it in 3rd gear. I also climbed choke in 1st gear wide open with skattraks on my stock 400ex which I have on video, when the sand was soft. Thanks for the replys.

Still getting some snow flurries here in Montana and I suppose St Anthony is about the same. Should turn nice pretty soon though, and I may be down there the same weekend as you. My YFZ climbs choke in 3rd most of the way up, shift to 2nd near the top depending on sand conditions (ITP Sandstars). I weigh 200, my kid who weighs 85 goes up in 3rd screamin!

Anyway the weather in mid to late April is quite often perfect there.

I will let you know after June 13th.
My built 250R was also able to take Choke Cherry in third (barely).
My YFZ is quite a bit faster than the 250R, so I am assuming that it also will take Choke in third.

If the sand's right

You're not too heavy

Jetting is on

The YFZ will pull it in third

Sometimes mine do

Sometimes it don't
